Responsibility
- Lead and manage field exploration campaigns across Western Australia, including planning, logistics, and safety management.
- Design and supervise geological mapping, rock sampling, trenching, core logging, and drill programs to generate high-quality target models.
- Integrate geological data with GIS, 3D modeling, and geostatistics to identify and rank resource targets.
- Interpret drill cores, outcrops, geophysical data, and alteration halos to guide resource estimation and project strategy.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, Internal Technical Reviews, and assist with regulatory and stakeholder submissions in accordance with JORC guidelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and camp logistics; ensure safety and environmental compliance in remote field settings.
- Mentor junior geologists and field technicians; lead knowledge transfer and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Mining, Metallurgy, Environmental) to de-risk projects and support decision-making.
Qualification
- Master's degree (or PhD) in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of mineral exploration experience, with demonstrated success in WA or comparable jurisdictions.
- Strong field mapping, rock sampling, core logging, and data management skills.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and geological software (Leapfrog, Micromine, Datamine) for interpretation and 3D modeling.
- Solid understanding of ore deposit geology, QA/QC, and resource estimation under JORC guidelines.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement abilities; experience leading teams in remote environments.
- Willingness to travel and spend extended periods in the field; valid driver’s license.
