TerraNova Geoscience is seeking a proactive Senior Geologist to lead field programs, map complex terrains, and drive high-impact exploration projects in the North American region. Responsibility
- Lead field-based geological mapping, stratigraphic logging, and sample collection across diverse terrains.
- Plan and manage exploration programs, schedules, budgets, and logistics to meet project milestones.
- Integrate field data with geochemical, petrographic, and geophysical results to develop robust geological interpretations.
- Build and refine 3D geological models using industry standard software such as Leapfrog, Move, or Petrel.
- Prepare technical reports, resource estimates, and client-ready deliverables with clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mining engineers, hydrogeologists, and GIS specialists to support project goals.
- Ensure field safety, QA/QC of data, and compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in mineral exploration or mining geology; open to senior-level candidates with demonstrated impact.
- Strong proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and experience with geological modeling software.
- Demonstrated field mapping skills, sedimentology, petrology, and stratigraphic interpretation.
- Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to deliver concise client-ready reports.
- Proven ability to work independently in remote field locations and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional Geologist license or ability to obtain licensure; willingness to pursue continuing education.
