Join Environ Consulting Services (M) Sdn Bhd as a Geotechnical Engineer in our High-Rise and Complex Buildings team. You will lead the soil and groundwater fundamentals behind some of Kuala Lumpur's most ambitious structures, translating geotechnical insights into safe, constructible foundations for skyscrapers, towers and mixed use developments. From day one you will oversee field investigations, review drilling and sampling programs, and supervise geotechnical teams in the field. Responsibility

  • Lead geotechnical investigations for tall and complex buildings including field programs and lab testing
  • Analyze soil and groundwater conditions to develop safe foundation concepts
  • Design and evaluate deep and raft foundation systems, assess settlement and vibration impact
  • Manage field teams and coordinate with subcontractors during site investigations
  • Compile, review and present geotechnical reports with clear recommendations and risk assessment
  • Collaborate with structural, architectural and construction teams to drive project success while adhering to standards
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian standards and international best practices, supporting quality and safety
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical proposals and client communication

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; masters preferred
  • 3 to 8 years geotechnical engineering experience, with high rise or complex buildings preferred
  • Proficiency in field investigations, soil testing, laboratory testing and geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS and GeoStudio
  • Knowledge of local codes and standards in Malaysia and familiarity with MS guidelines
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Project management capabilities and the ability to lead field teams and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel regionally and to rotate on projects; fluent English, Malay is a plus
