PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site located in Batu Kawan, Penang. Construction began in May 2021, and this facility is designed to deliver advanced final-test sensors for leading-edge devices. We are seeking a capable Group Leader to guide the Process and Equipment teams within this high-precision environment.
This leadership role provides an exciting opportunity to shape manufacturing processes and equipment performance on a global stage. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure process stability, optimize throughput, and drive reliability across the final-test platform, while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
As Group Leader, you will partner with Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Quality Assurance, and NPI to implement robust test processes, deliver improvements, and support plant expansion initiatives. You will champion data-driven decision making, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects that reduce cycle times and elevate yield.

Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers focused on final-test sensors, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Own daily operations for final-test processes and associated equipment; monitor performance, set KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance, calibration, and uptime strategies to maximize equipment reliability and yield.
- Collaborate with Equipment Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality to define process changes, run qualification tests, and transfer new capabilities to production.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures; apply data analytics, SPC, and DOE to drive improvements.
- Manage staffing, training, scheduling, and performance coaching; promote safety, teamwork, and a culture of accountability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and cleanroom procedures; maintain documentation and change control.
- Champion cost-effective improvements, automation opportunities, and MES/SCADA integration to optimize throughput and reliability.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with hands-on exposure to final-test or process/equipment leadership.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a diverse team.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, SPC/DOE, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of semiconductor test equipment, automation, and process controls.
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA/ISO 45001), quality systems (ISO 9001), and cleanroom practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in English; ability to interfacing with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment in Batu Kawan, Penang.
