As a member of our Student Support Team, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to implement comprehensive guidance services that promote resilience, goal setting, and postsecondary readiness for all students.

Responsibility
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to students from diverse backgrounds to support academic success, personal growth, and career exploration.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance curriculum aligned with state standards and SEL best practices.
- Advise students on course selection, academic planning, graduation requirements, and postsecondary pathways (college, vocational training, apprenticeships).
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to identify barriers and connect students with appropriate supports.
- Deliver crisis intervention, risk assessment, and timely referrals to mental health resources as needed.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress, maintain confidential records, and evaluate program impact.
- Lead college and career readiness events, workshops, and college application assistance sessions.
- Advocate for equitable access to resources and services for all students, with a focus on culturally sustaining practices.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- Current or eligible State of Washington School Counselor license.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in school counseling or a related setting.
- Strong knowledge of counseling theories, career development, and social-emotional learning frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and intercultural competency skills.
- Experience with data-informed decision making and familiarity with student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Skyward).
- Crisis intervention training and familiarity with trauma-informed practices.
