Responsibility
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Provide guidance on course selection, college and career exploration, and postsecondary planning.
- Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs aligned with school standards and student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and community partners to identify at risk students and provide timely interventions.
- Maintain confidential records, document progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Deliver crisis intervention and participate in school wide mental health initiatives.
- Facilitate college and scholarship workshops, test preparation, and transition planning for graduating seniors.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Counseling or School Counseling and appropriate licensure.
- Valid state certification as a school counselor.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, career development, and postsecondary planning.
- Experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed practices, and social emotional learning.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and culturally responsive skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and families using data-driven decision making.
