BrightPath Counseling & Education is seeking a compassionate and proactive Guidance Counselor to support students in a dynamic K-12 setting. You will collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators to promote social-emotional learning, academic planning, and college and career readiness.
Responsibilities include delivering counseling services to individual and small groups, developing prevention and intervention programs, and supporting students through transitions and crisis situations. You will maintain confidential records, monitor progress, and advocate for equitable access to resources for all students.
Qualifications include a master's degree in school counseling or related field, valid state licensure, and a minimum of two years of experience in school-based counseling. We value collaboration, cultural humility, data-informed decision making, and a commitment to student-centered practice.

Responsibility
- Develop and deliver comprehensive counseling programs addressing social-emotional learning, academic planning, and college and career readiness.
- Conduct individual and small-group counseling sessions, including check-ins and targeted interventions.
- Assess student needs using evidence-based tools and coordinate with families, teachers, and administrators.
- Support college and career readiness through course planning, FAFSA guidance, and postsecondary options.
- Implement crisis intervention, safety planning, and referral to community resources as needed.
- Maintain confidential records in compliance with laws and district policies; monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive, supportive school climate and refer students to school-based and community supports.
Qualification
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited program.
- Valid Colorado School Counselor license or eligible and able to obtain licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based counseling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of developmental guidance theory, assessment tools, and ethical practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to engage with diverse student populations and families.
- Crisis intervention training or certification; willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
- Background check clearance; commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-racist practices.
