BrightPath Education & Counseling is seeking a compassionate and results-driven Guidance Counselor to support students in navigating academics, personal development, and career pathways. This role partners with teachers, families, and community resources to foster a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving school environment.
Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling, coordinating college and financial aid planning, and implementing proactive programs that promote resilience, social-emotional learning, and academic success. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, culturally responsive, and able to manage sensitive information with professionalism.

Responsibility
- Provide confidential one-on-one and small group counseling to students, addressing academic, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive counseling programs that support college and career readiness, including FAFSA and scholarship guidance.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify at-risk students and implement supportive interventions.
- Conduct classroom guidance lessons on study skills, time management, stress reduction, and communication.
- Coordinate college admissions processes, admissions testing, and post-secondary planning.
- Maintain accurate student records, data-driven case notes, and program outcomes to inform school-wide planning.
- Participate in crisis intervention and referral protocols, coordinating with community resources as needed.
- Stay current with best practices in guidance counseling and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
Qualification
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state school counselor certification/license in Oregon or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Strong knowledge of college admissions processes, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
- Experience delivering counseling services in K-12 settings; counseling internship acceptable for new graduates.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and district policies.
- Proficiency with data management systems, student information systems, and career assessment tools.
