Responsibility
- Provide academic, personal, and college/career counseling to students in grades 9–12.
- Develop and implement individualized student success plans based on unique strengths and needs.
- Deliver engaging workshops on personal growth, mental wellness, and college readiness.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to support students’ holistic development.
- Maintain timely and confidential student records in accordance with school policies and legal requirements.
- Identify students in need of additional support and facilitate referrals to external agencies as required.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Stay current on best practices in guidance counseling and adolescent development.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid Colorado State School Counselor certification (or eligibility).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a guidance or school counseling role preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and time management abilities.
- Commitment to ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency with student information systems and basic office software.
