Responsibility

  • Provide individual and small‑group counseling to support academic achievement, social‑emotional growth, and personal development.
  • Design and deliver classroom guidance lessons on study skills, resilience, career exploration, college readiness, and decision making.
  • Assess students, develop comprehensive guidance plans, and monitor progress using data‑driven approaches.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to coordinate supports and ensure equitable access.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with FERPA and district policies.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field; valid state School Counseling certification.
  • Current state certification/endorsement as a School Counselor; active good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in school counseling or a comparable setting.
  • Strong knowledge of FERPA, confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and data privacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills; proven ability to work with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with college and career readiness resources and data‑driven decision making.
