Responsibility
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
- Develop and implement programs addressing bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive educational plans for students.
- Guide students in exploring college and career options, including application and scholarship processes.
- Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate, confidential records.
- Respond promptly to crisis situations and offer effective interventions.
- Lead workshops and presentations on personal growth and decision-making skills.
- Stay current with counseling best practices, trends, and licensure requirements.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Valid Washington State ESA Counseling Certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a school or guidance counselor.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally sensitive counseling.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency with digital counseling resources and student information systems.
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and community engagement.
