Northview Education Alliance is seeking a compassionate and results-driven Guidance Counselor to support student success across a diverse school community. In this role, you will provide proactive counseling, collaboration with educators and families, and programs that foster social-emotional learning, career exploration, and postsecondary planning. The ideal candidate blends evidence-based counseling practices with a warm, student-centered approach to help every learner reach their full potential.

Responsibility
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on social-emotional development, behavior management, and resilience.
- Deliver classroom guidance and small-group sessions on study skills, stress management, bullying prevention, and healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and monitor personalized student success plans.
- Develop and implement school-wide social-emotional learning programs and crisis response protocols.
- Coordinate college and career readiness activities, postsecondary planning, and FAFSA/scholarship support.
- Connect students with community resources; maintain a comprehensive referral network and timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and use data to inform interventions and program improvements.
- Advise on course selection, scheduling, and transitions to high school or postsecondary paths, ensuring equitable access to opportunities.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Valid school counselor credential or license to practice in Washington state, or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school counseling or a related educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, trauma-informed practices, and mental health resources.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and culturally responsive skills; ability to build trust with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with data-driven interventions, case management, and progress monitoring; proficiency in documenting outcomes and maintaining confidentiality.
