Responsibility
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance curriculum aligned with state standards
- Support college and career readiness through planning sessions, workshops, and resources
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff to develop personalized student plans
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide ongoing follow-up as needed
- Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with FERPA and district policies
- Utilize data and assessment tools to monitor progress and drive program improvements
Qualification
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a closely related field
- State certification/licensure as a School Counselor (or eligible to obtain)
- Minimum 3 years of school counseling experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cultural competency skills
- Knowledge of SEL, college and career readiness, and data-driven decision making
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs
- Proficiency with counseling software, digital resources, and record-keeping
