Responsibility
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address personal, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and coordinate with teachers, families, and outside specialists.
- Develop and implement proactive guidance programs on academic planning, college and career readiness, and social-emotional learning.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and inclusive environment; respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions.
- Advise and monitor students regarding course selection, postsecondary planning, and graduation requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data to measure program effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Provide parent outreach and family engagement through workshops and resources.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, or related field; valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Counselor
- Current or eligible for Washington State Pupil Personnel Services credential or equivalent
- Experience delivering school-based counseling services and crisis intervention
- Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning frameworks, college and career readiness strategies, and student support services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision making
