Responsibility

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling to support academic planning, personal development, and career exploration
  • Deliver classroom guidance lessons on study skills, SEL, and college readiness
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to design and implement targeted interventions
  • Lead group counseling sessions and coordinate crisis response as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders
  • Develop and administer a comprehensive college and career readiness program
  • Advise students on postsecondary options and assist with FAFSA and college applications

Qualification

  • Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
  • State licensure as a School Counselor or eligibility for licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of counseling experience in K-12 or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of college and career readiness strategies and resources
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
