Responsibility
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to support academic planning, personal development, and career exploration
- Deliver classroom guidance lessons on study skills, SEL, and college readiness
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to design and implement targeted interventions
- Lead group counseling sessions and coordinate crisis response as needed
- Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders
- Develop and administer a comprehensive college and career readiness program
- Advise students on postsecondary options and assist with FAFSA and college applications
Qualification
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
- State licensure as a School Counselor or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum 2 years of counseling experience in K-12 or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of college and career readiness strategies and resources
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Experience delivering classroom guidance and group counseling sessions
- Proficiency with data-driven planning and counseling software
