You will build and lead a high-performing analytics program that informs coaching decisions, player development, and roster strategy across multiple sports disciplines.

What you will do

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's player performance analytics program, including data collection, modeling, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, medical team, and performance analysts to translate data into actionable insights for player development and game strategy.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts; oversee data pipelines, models, dashboards, and reproducible analyses.
  • Design and implement monitoring of player load, injury risk, fatigue, and performance metrics across training and competition.
  • Partner with scouting and strategy teams to inform roster decisions, contract considerations, and talent acquisition.
  • Establish data governance, quality assurance, and privacy/compliance standards; ensure ethical use of data.
  • Communicate complex findings to executive leadership and coaches through engaging dashboards and reports; drive a data-driven culture.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience in sports analytics or performance analytics within professional sports.
  • Proven track record building analytics programs that drive on-field performance; experience supporting coaching or management decisions.
  • Technical proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent); machine learning experience a plus.
  • Experience with player-tracking data and wearable technologies; familiarity with sports science concepts.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams.
