Join Pacific Peak Sports Group as the Head of Player Analytics and lead the next era of data-informed performance for elite athletes. This senior, high-impact role operates at the intersection of coaching, medical science, and strategy in a fast-paced professional sports environment.
You will build and lead a high-performing analytics program that informs coaching decisions, player development, and roster strategy across multiple sports disciplines.
What you will do
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's player performance analytics program, including data collection, modeling, and reporting.
- Collaborate with coaching staff, medical team, and performance analysts to translate data into actionable insights for player development and game strategy.
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts; oversee data pipelines, models, dashboards, and reproducible analyses.
- Design and implement monitoring of player load, injury risk, fatigue, and performance metrics across training and competition.
- Partner with scouting and strategy teams to inform roster decisions, contract considerations, and talent acquisition.
- Establish data governance, quality assurance, and privacy/compliance standards; ensure ethical use of data.
- Communicate complex findings to executive leadership and coaches through engaging dashboards and reports; drive a data-driven culture.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Kinesiology); advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sports analytics or performance analytics within professional sports.
- Proven track record building analytics programs that drive on-field performance; experience supporting coaching or management decisions.
- Technical proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent); machine learning experience a plus.
- Experience with player-tracking data and wearable technologies; familiarity with sports science concepts.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment; excellent project and stakeholder management capabilities.
