Responsibility
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction to students in grades 9-12 across assigned subject areas, adapting to diverse learning styles.
- Design and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans and assessments that promote critical thinking and mastery of content.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including English learners and students with diverse abilities.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods, providing timely feedback to students and families.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that supports safety, respect, and active student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Integrate technology and data-driven strategies to enhance learning outcomes and digital literacy.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a subject-specific field; teaching certification or license in Illinois (or eligible to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience or relevant student-facing roles; internship or student teaching counts.
- Strong knowledge of adolescent development and effective classroom management strategies.
- Proven ability to design engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, and assess student progress.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with learning management systems, online resources, and technology integration.
