You will diagnose, install, retrofit, service, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in residential and light commercial settings. Our technicians are expected to deliver accurate estimates, adhere to safety codes, and communicate clearly with customers about work performed and recommended next steps.
Responsibility
- Install, diagnose, repair, and service residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections to maximize efficiency and longevity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control systems, refrigerant circuits, and airflow issues using diagnostic tools.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and follow-up recommendations in service management software.
- Provide clear, respectful communication with customers and offer energy-saving improvement options.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours rotations as needed and maintain an organized, clean job site.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience or an equivalent combination of technical school training and field work.
- EPA Section 608 certification is required; universal certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of refrigerants, electrical components, gas piping, and airflow principles.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals; proficient with basic hand and power tools.
