Responsibility
- Install, service, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, condensers, chillers, and air handlers.
- Read and interpret mechanical plans, schematics, and electrical diagrams to execute precise installations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and meters to identify faults and perform efficient repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance, tune-ups, and system optimizations to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct leak testing, refrigerant recovery, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Document service reports, parts used, and recommended upgrades for customers and office staff.
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members; uphold professional standards and safety policies.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience; EPA Section 608 certification preferred or required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation to job sites.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, wiring practices, and system commissioning.
- Technical training from a trade school or apprenticeship; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; proficient problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Commitment to safety; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
