Responsibility

  • Install, service, diagnose, and repair commercial and residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and boilers.
  • Inspect components, test electrical circuits, refrigerant levels, and safety controls; perform system commissioning.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Document service activities, parts used, and time spent; maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and local codes; participate in regular safety training.
  • Collaborate with technicians and project managers to complete projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Provide clear explanations to clients about issues, repairs, and recommended solutions to maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC install/repair experience; residential and light commercial work preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification; valid HVAC license as required by local regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical controls, ductwork, refrigeration cycles, and load calculations.
  • Experience with control wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and diagnose complex system issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
