Responsibility

  • Install, repair, and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings.
  • Perform system diagnostics using electrical, refrigerant, and control metering tools; accurately identify root causes and document findings.
  • Replace faulty components (compressors, coils, motors, valves) and ensure proper refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Startup and commissioning of new systems; verify correct operation of controls, sequencing, and safety devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, filter changes, refrigerant charge checks, and system cleanings to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
  • Diagnose and repair ductwork issues, airflow imbalances, and indoor air quality concerns.
  • Provide clear, non-technical explanations to customers and deliver professional service with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Keep accurate service reports, parts usage, and timekeeping; maintain organized inventory and vehicle readiness.

Qualification

  • 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, with a track record of successful installations and repairs.
  • EPA refrigerant handling certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified period).
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel within service area.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigerants, airflow, and indoor environmental controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and safety compliance.
