Responsibility
- Install, commission, diagnose, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment, ducts, and electrical connections.
- Diagnose issues using gauges, meters, sensors, and electrical schematics; recommend effective solutions.
- Replace defective components such as compressors, coils, thermostats, fans, and condensers; ensure proper refrigerant handling and sealing.
- Document service work, parts used, time spent, and customer notes in our system with accuracy.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with customers, explain issues and options, and provide accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with team members to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation and service experience for residential and light commercial systems.
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II/III) and valid refrigerant handling license.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Trade school certificate or HVAC apprenticeship; Journeyman license is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical controls, ductwork, refrigeration cycles, and reading blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform medium to heavy physical work in varied temperatures.
