Responsibility
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, condensers, air handlers, and controls.
- Install new equipment and ductwork per manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups to maximize efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and control system issues; replace faulty components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Document service activities and provide clear estimates and explanations to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment; adhere to safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to service calls and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience; EPA 608 certification required for refrigerant handling.
- Technical degree or HVAC/R certificate from a trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle, electrical fundamentals, gas piping, and ductwork.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within service area as needed.
- Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in varied conditions.
