Responsibility
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose system malfunctions using industry-standard tools and perform precise repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system tune-ups to maximize efficiency and longevity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to plan installations and replacements.
- Assist with ductwork design and sealing to optimize airflow and energy efficiency.
- Test and verify system performance, refrigerant charge, airflow, and electrical components.
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and timelines; ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Follow safety procedures, building codes, and EPA refrigerant handling requirements; maintain accurate service documentation.
Qualification
- Trade school program, apprenticeship, or equivalent HVAC technical training.
- EPA 608 Certification for handling refrigerants required.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel within service area.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities; familiarity with electrical controls and basic wiring.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment; comfortable working in confined spaces and variable weather.
- Keen emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and compliance with local codes.
