Job description
Join a premier manufacturing team in Houston as an Industrial Engineer. You will lead efficiency initiatives, design optimal production layouts, and implement data-driven improvements across facilities.
As a key member of the operations team, you’ll partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to reduce cost, cycle times, and variation while ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibility
- Lead time studies and line balance analyses to optimize throughput.
- Develop and implement standard work procedures and workplace layouts for cellular manufacturing.
- Conduct time studies, data collection, and value-stream mapping to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and track ROI with clear milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to implement process changes and equipment updates.
- Own shop floor data governance and KPI dashboards (OEE, yield, cycle time).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple shifts and train operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or facilities optimization.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with time studies, process mapping, and standard work design.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Minitab) and ERP/MES systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive measurable ROI.
