Join Apex Precision Manufacturing as an Industrial Engineer where you will design and optimize production processes to drive efficiency and quality. This role blends engineering rigor with pragmatic manufacturing insight, supporting lean initiatives and data-driven decision making across our facilities. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who can collaborate across engineering, operations, and supply chain to deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, yield, and cost. In this position you will partner with cross-functional teams to implement practical solutions that scale with our growing operations.
Responsibility
- Lead time and workflow analysis to optimize plant floor layouts and line balancing.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Develop process simulations and time studies to justify capital projects.
- Collaborate with operations to implement standard work, SPC, and visual management.
- Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with suppliers and IT teams to optimize ERP/MES integration and data collection.
- Create and maintain process documentation, BOMs, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and support training initiatives on continuous improvement tools.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with proven Lean/Six Sigma impact.
- Strong knowledge of process mapping, time studies, line balancing, and work measurement.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems, data analytics, and simulation tools (e.g., Arena, Simul8, or similar).
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience leading improvement projects and presenting to leadership.
- Willingness to travel as needed (0-15%).
