You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to design, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes from line balance to work measurement. What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Lead time studies, capacity planning, and line balancing to optimize production flow and reduce bottlenecks.
- Design and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, and value stream mapping.
- Conduct time studies and work measurements to establish standard work and improve labor efficiency.
- Develop and optimize layouts, material handling, and ergonomic considerations for production floors.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and supplier teams to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Define and monitor KPIs (throughput, yield, OEE, scrap) and implement data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and mentor junior engineers.
- Support capital projects, automation initiatives, and MES/ERP integration ensuring robust documentation and risk mitigation.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, and statistical analysis (Minitab, JMP).
- Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated project management experience and ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLCs is a plus; willingness to learn and adapt.
