PrecisionFlow Engineering is seeking an ambitious Industrial Engineer to join our Chicago team. You will analyze and optimize complex production processes, reduce waste, and elevate safety, quality, and delivery performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibility
- Analyze production lines to identify bottlenecks, waste, and variability using data-driven methods.
- Design and implement process improvements, standard work, and lean layouts to maximize throughput.
- Lead time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and takt time calculations to align resources with demand.
- Develop standard work instructions, training materials, and onboarding programs for operators.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deploy high-impact projects.
- Monitor KPIs, prepare dashboards, and report ROI for initiatives.
- Support safety improvements, ergonomic assessments, and compliance during process changes.
- Model processes using ERP/MES and CAD tools to simulate improvements before rollout.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, JMP) and ERP/MES systems.
- Experience with time studies, line balancing, process mapping, and work measurement techniques.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
