Responsibility
- Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
- Design and implement optimized layouts, work stations, and material flow to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
- Lead time studies, work measurement, and standardization using methods such as time and motion analysis.
- Develop and track KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, yield, first-pass yield) and present data-driven insights to leadership.
- Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance to implement root-cause problem solving and 8D reports.
- Support capacity planning, line balance, and production scheduling to meet demand forecasts.
- Assist in implementation of ERP/MES systems and digital tooling to capture real-time manufacturing data.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment with process improvement and lean manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of lean tools (5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban) and Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI) and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with time studies, work measurement, and line balancing.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing execution data collection.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
