At Apex Global Industries, we partner with leading manufacturers to optimize labor relations across our operations. We are seeking a results driven Industrial Relations Manager to lead strategy, negotiations, and policy compliance at our Singapore site. In this role, you will collaborate with HR, operations, and line managers to cultivate productive employee relations, manage risk, and ensure sustainable labor practices that support business growth.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive industrial relations strategy aligned with business goals and workforce needs.
  • Lead collective bargaining with unions, prepare negotiation proposals, and close favorable agreements.
  • Provide expert counsel to management on workplace relations, disciplinary procedures, and policy development.
  • Manage grievance handling and dispute resolution processes to achieve timely, lawful outcomes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act and related labor laws across sites.
  • Partner with HR, Safety, and Operations to drive workforce engagement, change initiatives, and productivity improvements.
  • Coach and mentor HR business partners on IR best practices and performance analytics.
  • Prepare IR metrics and reports to inform leadership decisions and risk management.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field
  • 7+ years of industrial relations or labor relations experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and labor regulations; proven union negotiation experience
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and policy development skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using HRIS, analytics, and reporting
  • Discretion, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
