Job description
Join Pinnacle InfraTech, a leader in scalable infrastructure and platform reliability. We architect and deploy resilient infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments, enabling 24/7 service delivery for customers worldwide. This role focuses on development and automation of infrastructure, platform engineering, and performance optimization.
Based in Seattle, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust systems that scale with demand, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibility
- Design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure platforms (cloud, on-prem, and hybrid) with emphasis on reliability, performance, and security.
- Develop and maintain IaC pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and related tooling to automate provisioning and configuration management.
- Lead migration of services to containerized and orchestrated environments (Kubernetes) with CI/CD integration.
- Collaborate with SRE and software teams to define service level objectives (SLOs) and implement observability (metrics, logs, tracing).
- Drive cost optimization and capacity planning through data-driven analysis and automation.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and define coding standards for infrastructure as code and automation.
- Ensure security and compliance controls are embedded in pipelines and deployments (IAM, network policies, secrets management).
- Plan disaster recovery and backup strategies, and test failover scenarios regularly.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on infrastructure development, platform engineering, or SRE experience.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and multi-cloud architectures.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments, including cluster administration and security.
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VPNs, and load balancing; ability to design scalable network topologies.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to influence without authority.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA/CKA or equivalent) are a plus.
