Responsibility

  • Evaluate insurance applications and exposure to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
  • Review, approve, or decline risks in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to secure accurate policy terms.
  • Perform risk analysis, use actuarial data and rating tools to set competitive rates.

Qualification

  • Strong analytical, numeric, and risk assessment skills.
  • Proficiency with underwriting software and MS Office; experience with rating engines and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities; proven negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in insurance underwriting; CPCU, CIC, or similar certification is a plus.
