Prestige Assurance Group is hiring a Senior Insurance Underwriter to lead commercial risk assessment and policy development in a fast paced market. This role combines analytical rigor with client focused service to deliver tailored coverage that protects businesses while maintaining a profitable book of business.

Responsibility
- Analyze and underwrite complex commercial risks across multiple industries, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to gather information, assess exposures, and tailor coverage terms.
- Evaluate risk using internal models, external data, and market trends to determine appropriate pricing and limits.
- Draft policy terms, endorsements, exclusions, and binding quotes; ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor portfolio quality, conduct regular reviews, and adjust terms to optimize profitability and retention.
- Coordinate with underwriting assistants and claims teams to ensure smooth policy administration and risk management guidance.
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute to process improvements, tool adoption, and data integrity.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of commercial insurance underwriting experience, with a track record of profitable book development.
- Deep knowledge of commercial lines underwriting, rating tools, policy forms, and endorsements.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation, modeling, and Excel; familiarity with underwriting systems (Epic, Applied, or Guidewire).
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; customer focused with strong stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with ACORD standards and relevant regulatory requirements; professional designation such as CPCU is a plus.
