Join Lumen & Atelier, a premier interior design studio renowned for luxurious, timeless spaces. We are seeking an accomplished Interior Designer to join our London studio and lead signature projects from concept through construction.
As a core member of our design team, you will translate client briefing into refined environments that balance beauty, function, and sustainability. This role offers creative autonomy, collaboration with high profile clients, and the opportunity to shape award winning interiors.
In this position you will collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, and craft specialists to deliver meticulous documentation, stylish design schemes, and flawless on site execution.
Responsibility
- Lead design concepts and develop comprehensive schemes for luxury residential and boutique hospitality projects from brief to delivery.
- Create space plans, material boards, color palettes, lighting strategies, and 3D visualizations to communicate design intent.
- Prepare and manage construction drawings, schedules, specifications, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure quality, budget, and schedule targets are met.
- Oversee on site visits, review workmanship, and ensure design intent is realized in final built environments.
- Mentor junior designers, review work, and uphold studio standards for documentation, presentation, and execution.
- Collaborate with sustainability teams to integrate eco friendly materials and practices where appropriate.
- Present concepts and proposals to clients with confidence, clarity, and compelling storytelling.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; professional accreditation such as RIBA, NCIDQ preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of post graduate experience in luxury interior design, with a track record of high end residential or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite; ability to develop client ready drawings and visuals.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to lead client meetings.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines; budget awareness.
- Portfolio demonstrating refined design sense and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials.
