GlobalBridge Language Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Interpretation Specialist to join our London team. You will provide top-tier consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for high-stakes conferences, corporate meetings, legal proceedings, medical settings, and diplomatic engagements. Responsibility
- Provide accurate consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for multi-day conferences, meetings, and remote events.
- Prepare topic-specific glossaries, term banks, and style guides to ensure consistency across sessions.
- Set up and operate interpretation equipment (booths, microphones, headsets) when required.
- Prepare and brief clients on language needs, cultural considerations, and expected terminology.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards in all assignments.
- Collaborate with project managers, organizers, and technicians to ensure seamless delivery.
- Deliver post-event debriefs and quality feedback to improve future performances.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in languages, linguistics, or related field (or equivalent interpretation experience).
- 3+ years of professional interpretation experience in consecutive and simultaneous modes.
- Proficiency in at least two languages with native-level fluency in English; additional language pairs prioritized (e.g., English–Spanish, English–French, English–Mandarin).
- Experience in legal, medical, or corporate settings is highly desirable.
- Strong memory, note-taking, and public-speaking skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Familiarity with interpretation equipment and remote interpretation platforms (e.g., RSI software).
- Excellent cultural sensitivity, ethics, and professional demeanor.
