GlobalBridge Language Services is seeking a dedicated Interpreter to join our New York City team. This full-time role offers opportunities to work with multinational clients across conferences, corporate meetings, and high-profile events. You will provide accurate, culturally aware interpretation in English and multiple target languages, both consecutive and simultaneous, in fast-paced environments.

Responsibility
- Provide high quality simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings, conferences, webinars, and on-site events in English and other languages.
- Prepare term glossaries and maintain memory databases to ensure consistent terminology across sessions.
- Collaborate with clients, event producers, and participants to understand context, terminology, and cultural nuances.
- Set up and operate interpretation equipment, including booths, headsets, and wireless microphones, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and professional ethics in all assignments.
- Deliver accurate interpretation under pressure, with strong memory and note-taking abilities.
- Provide post-session debriefs and client notes, and assist with summaries when required.
- Support mentoring of junior interpreters and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Fluent in English plus at least two additional languages with professional interpretation experience.
- Certification in interpretation or degree in interpretation, linguistics, or translation or equivalent professional training.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business, conference, medical, or legal interpreting.
- Excellent listening, memory, note-taking, and communication skills; ability to render accurate and culturally appropriate interpretations.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and remote interpreting platforms; familiarity with booth operations and terminology management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a client service mindset; ability to work with diverse populations.
- Flexible schedule with willingness to travel up to 20 percent and work evenings or weekends as required.
