We are seeking a Senior Interpreter to deliver high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in fast-paced environments in San Francisco, CA. You will work with diverse clients, ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural nuance, and contribute to glossary development and quality assurance.

Responsibility
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for meetings, conferences, and events with high stakes and diverse audiences.
- Prepare by researching terminology, compiling glossaries, and coordinating with project managers and clients.
- Deliver accurate, culturally sensitive interpretation while maintaining confidentiality and ethics.
- Manage interpretation equipment and booth operations, including remote and on-site setups.
- Collaborate with clients, note-takers, and other interpreters to ensure consistency and quality.
- Mentor junior interpreters and contribute to team knowledge sharing and glossary maintenance.
- Provide post-assignment debriefs and incorporate feedback to improve future performances.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in interpretation, linguistics, translation, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional interpreter certification (NAD, ITI, AIIC) or equivalent credential preferred.
- 5+ years of interpretation experience in consecutive and simultaneous modes, across at least two domains (legal, medical, corporate, or conference).
- Native-level or bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
- Excellent memory, note-taking, research skills, and ability to manage terminology under pressure.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and familiarity with remote interpreting platforms and technology.
- Strong professional ethics, confidentiality, and cross-cultural communication skills; ability to travel as needed.
