AFRY is actively seeking a motivated and technically proficient Junior Civil Engineer / Project Scheduler to join our Philippine team in Makati City. In this contract role, you will leverage Primavera P6 to build and manage robust project schedules for civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budget constraints, and critical milestones.
As a Project Scheduler, you will partner with engineers, construction managers, procurement, and field teams to create realistic schedules, baseline them, and track progress against planned milestones. You will identify schedule risks, perform critical path analyses, and propose schedule optimizations to mitigate delays and improve overall project performance. You will also prepare clear, data-driven progress reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders, facilitating proactive decision-making.
Key responsibilities include maintaining schedule integrity across the project lifecycle, integrating schedules with cost and resource plans, and ensuring timely updates in Primavera P6. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 for civil and infrastructure projects.
- Track progress by updating activity statuses, assigning resources, and recording earned value where applicable.
- Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, and schedule optimization to mitigate delays.
- Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, procurement, and site teams to ensure feasible sequences and timely completion.
- Prepare and present schedule status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for project stakeholders.
- Ensure schedule integrity by performing data quality checks and integrating with cost or resource plans.
- Support change management by evaluating schedule impacts of scope changes and assisting with re-baselining.
- Assist in documenting lessons learned and maintaining accurate project documentation for audits.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 for schedule development, baselining, and progress updates (entry to mid-level).
- Strong understanding of civil/infrastructure project lifecycles and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic project management tools; ability to analyze data and generate clear reports.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to handle multiple priorities in a contract environment.
- Willingness to work on a contract/temporary basis and adapt to project requirements.
