Job description

Hygr Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic and results driven Key Account Manager and Category Buyer to join our fast growing team in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this pivotal role, you will manage strategic retail and B2B accounts, strengthen HYGRs market presence, and optimise category performance across key channels. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing and supply chain to deliver compelling in store execution, competitive pricing, and profitable growth.

As a trusted partner to our retailers and distribution networks, you will develop robust account plans, drive sell out, and expand HYGRs partnerships within the region. You will leverage category data and market insights to shape merchandising tactics, assortment optimization, and promotional activities that boost shelf presence and long term growth.

We are looking for a proactive communicator with strong negotiation, analytical and relationship building skills. The ideal candidate has experience in consumer goods or retail, thrives in a target driven environment, and demonstrates a track record of delivering measurable results. Responsibility

  • Manage and grow key retail and B2B accounts including supermarkets, major chains, and online partners.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive sell out, market share, and category growth.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, promotions, and trade spend with senior partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing, category management and supply chain to optimise in store execution, shelf presence and merchandising.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyse sales data, forecast demand, and report insights to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to expand HYGRs partnerships across channels and product categories.
  • Manage new account onboarding, contract renewals, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Coordinate cross functionally to ensure product availability and timely launches.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in key account management, category management or B2B sales, preferably in consumer goods or retail.
  • Proven track record of growing key accounts and improving sell out.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Data analysis proficiency and experience with CRM tools; ability to translate insights into action.
  • Understanding of the Malaysian retail landscape and distribution networks.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, work cross functionally and meet targets.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
