Join Abbvie as a Key Account Manager in Malaysia, leading strategic engagement with oncology and hematology stakeholders to improve patient access to innovative therapies. This field-based role will be the primary point of contact for hospitals, cancer centers, procurement teams, and payer decision-makers, translating clinical data and outcomes into compelling, value-driven propositions. You will partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Operations, and cross-functional teams to plan and execute launches, lifecycle management, and market access initiatives that align with local needs and global strategy.
In this role, you will influence decision-makers and KOLs, shape formulary strategies, and drive demand by delivering evidence-based solutions that address clinical and economic outcomes. You’ll monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and payer policies to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, providing data-driven insights and accurate forecasts to leadership. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanded patient access and sustainable business growth in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for key oncology and hematology customers across Malaysia, aligning with Abbvie’s portfolio.
- Establish and nurture relationships with hospitals, oncology departments, procurement teams, and key opinion leaders to drive product adoption and market access.
- Drive demand generation and lifecycle management for Abbvie’s oncology therapies, including launches and patient support programs.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Field Marketing to deliver tailored solutions and evidence-based value propositions.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, payer policies, and clinical guidelines to identify opportunities and risks; adjust plans accordingly.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, performance analytics, and insights to leadership; track KPIs such as volume, revenue, market share, and account penetration.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and value-based propositions with major accounts, ensuring compliant and sustainable outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards; promote patient-centric care and Abbvie’s Code of Conduct.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales or Key Account Management experience with oncology/hematology exposure; track record of major account growth.
- Deep understanding of hospital procurement, formulary submission, and payer negotiation in Malaysia; strong network of KOLs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; fluent in English; Malay language proficiency is a plus.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data analytics; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Autonomous, results-driven, with strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia (60-80%) and adapt to a field-based role.
- Customer-focused with ethical mindset and ability to influence at senior levels.
