Responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and execute boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys in alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead field operations: setup control networks, GPS surveys, data collection, stakeouts, and site verification with precision and safety.
- Utilize total stations, GPS/GNSS, data collectors, and field-to-finish workflows to produce reliable measurements.
- Provide daily field notes, survey sketches, and field reports; ensure data integrity and QA/QC for all deliverables.
- Supervise survey crews, manage schedules, and train junior staff on techniques, safety, and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret plans and resolve locate issues.
- Prepare and review boundary calculations, legal descriptions, and mapping outputs for submittals and easement analyses.
- Maintain compliance with local and state surveying standards, safety protocols, and documentation practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Professional License preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on land surveying experience, with emphasis on boundary and construction surveys.
- Proficiency with total station, GNSS/GPS, robotic systems, and field data collection software (e.g., Carlson, TopoDOT, Civil 3D).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills; experience with boundary law and legal descriptions is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing abilities; capable of leading field teams and collaborating with cross-functional groups.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy; ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites as needed.
