Join Aurelia Studio Interiors, a premier design studio specializing in luxury residential and boutique hospitality spaces. We are seeking a dynamic Lead Interior Designer to drive concept development, client leadership, and project delivery for award-winning interiors in New York City.
As part of our studio, you will translate client visions into cohesive design narratives, oversee project teams, and ensure exceptional quality from conception through construction. Responsibility
- Lead concept development and space planning for high-end residential and boutique commercial projects
- Develop and present design concepts, schematics, and construction documentation
- Manage project teams, timelines, budgets, and relationships with vendors and consultants
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialists to ensure design integrity
- Oversee detail design, finishes, materials, lighting, and FF&E packages
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and sustainable design goals
- Communicate with clients, present progress, and manage expectations
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master in interior design; NCIDQ certification preferred
- 7+ years of professional interior design experience with luxury projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept to completion of high-end spaces
- Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-management skills
- In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, procurement, FF&E
- Ability to lead teams, manage budgets and schedules, and solve problems creatively
- Familiarity with codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability programs
