GlobalBridge Language Solutions is seeking a proactive Lead Language Interpreter to join our expanding team in New York City. In this role, you will interpret in fast-paced environments, both consecutive and simultaneous, and collaborate with clients, coordinators, and subject matter experts to ensure precise and culturally appropriate communication.

Responsibility
- Provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for meetings, conferences, webinars, and client visits.
- Prepare and maintain terminology glossaries and client-specific lexicons to ensure consistency across engagements.
- Coordinate with event organizers, researchers, and speakers to anticipate jargon and domain-specific language.
- Set up and test interpretation equipment, assist with booth operations, and manage remote interpretation platforms when needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and industry standards.
- Deliver clear, accurate interpretations under tight deadlines and handle complex or sensitive topics with tact.
- Provide mentorship to junior interpreters and contribute to post-event debriefs and quality control.
- Stay current with industry terminology, cultural nuances, and best practices in interpretation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in interpretation, linguistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional interpretation experience in diverse settings (corporate, legal, medical, or conference).
- Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and at least one additional language; strong command of grammar, usage, and nuance.
- Relevant certifications such as CCHI, AIIC, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with simultaneous interpretation equipment, booth operations, and remote platforms (e.g., Zoom, Interprefy, or KUDO).
- Excellent memory, note-taking, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage travel, and maintain confidentiality.
