Responsibility
- Lead and deliver engaging walking tours of the French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Research and update tour content to reflect local history, culture, architecture, and current events.
- Manage group logistics, ensure guest safety, and handle emergencies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, respond to guest questions, and resolve issues on tour.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new itineraries and seasonal tours.
- Conduct post-tour follow-ups, collect feedback, and upsell optional experiences.
- Maintain equipment (headsets, audio devices) and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional tour guiding or equivalent hospitality experience.
- Exceptional public speaking, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep knowledge of New Orleans history, culture, and architecture; fluency in English; multilingual abilities a plus.
- Outstanding customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Physical stamina to lead on foot tours of 2–3 hours, including stairs and uneven surfaces; outdoor work in varying weather.
- Valid work authorization in the U.S. and any required local permits or licenses; ability to obtain necessary certifications.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, crowd management, and basic first aid or willingness to train.
