Responsibility
- Lead engaging city and harbor tours for diverse groups, delivering accurate history and local color.
- Present safety briefings, manage crowds, and ensure guest safety during all activities.
- Personalize tours to accommodate weather, mobility, language, and interests.
- Tell compelling stories with clear, engaging language and confident public speaking.
- Coordinate with logistics staff to ensure timely departures and pickups.
- Answer guest questions, resolve issues gracefully, and upsell optional experiences when appropriate.
- Maintain route knowledge, stay informed about local events and closures, and adapt itineraries accordingly.
- Represent HarborView Tours professionally in person and online, including post-tour follow-up.
Qualification
- Excellent spoken English with strong public speaking skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong storytelling ability and the talent to engage diverse audiences.
- Solid knowledge of Sydney landmarks, history, culture, and local safety practices.
- Outstanding customer service, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
- First aid certification and familiarity with safety protocols preferred.
- Right to work in Australia (visa status confirmed) or valid work authorization.
