Responsibility
- Deliver engaging lectures and seminars to diverse student populations across undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Design, update, and assess course syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments aligned with program goals.
- Mentor and advise students, provide constructive feedback, and support academic success and career planning.
- Engage in scholarly activity, including research, publications, and conference presentations; contribute to grant proposals as appropriate.
- Collaborate with faculty across departments to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program review, and accreditation activities; participate in assessment and strategic planning.
- Support inclusive teaching practices, participate in student recruitment events, and serve on university committees as needed.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in the relevant field (PhD preferred) or a Master’s degree with substantial professional experience.
- Evidence of effective teaching in higher education and the ability to teach a range of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success with experience working with diverse learner populations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and assessment tools.
- Active scholarly engagement or ongoing professional activity; ability to supervise or mentor student research projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment and contribute to a positive campus culture.
