Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality lectures and labs for undergraduate and graduate Data Science courses.
- Design and update syllabi, assessments, and hands-on activities aligned with program outcomes.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
- Advise and supervise student projects, capstones, and internships.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program accreditation efforts.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and outreach activities.
- Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to applied data science projects when appropriate.
- Support inclusive teaching practices and mentorship to a diverse student body.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education and a strong commitment to student success.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R) and SQL; experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
- Ability to design and assess curricula and instructional strategies for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Experience with mentoring undergraduate and graduate research projects.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and equity in education.
