Responsibility
- Deliver engaging lectures and seminars for undergraduate and graduate courses in the relevant discipline.
- Design, update, and assess course materials, syllabi, and assessments to align with program outcomes.
- Employ inclusive teaching practices and foster a supportive learning environment for a diverse student population.
- Incorporate evidence-based instructional strategies and educational technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Mentor students, supervise capstone projects, and provide academic advising as appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, program assessment, and scholarly initiatives.
- Participate in service activities, committees, and outreach to strengthen the university community.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in the relevant field (PhD or terminal Master’s) and an active research or scholarly agenda.
- Demonstrated success teaching at the university level with a commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong public speaking skills.
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and educational technology.
- Proven ability to design and assess courses, materials, and assessments that support student learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues and students.
- Commitment to mentoring students from diverse backgrounds and supporting their academic growth.
