Harborview University invites applications for a dynamic Lecturer in Computer Science to contribute to our undergraduate and graduate programs. This is a full-time, teaching-focused role with opportunities for curriculum development, student mentoring, and collaborative research.
We seek an engaging educator who can deliver high-quality lectures, labs, and assessments across core CS courses, promote inclusive teaching practices, and participate in program planning with department leadership.
Responsibility
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate lectures, labs, and seminars in Computer Science with a focus on student-centered learning.
- Design and update course materials, syllabi, assessments, and rubrics aligned with accreditation standards.
- Provide timely feedback to students and advise academic progress, including office hours and mentorship.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation preparation.
- Collaborate with faculty on research-informed teaching and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Engage in inclusive teaching practices and support diverse student populations.
- Participate in service activities, committee work, and outreach to the campus community.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; PhD preferred for advanced teaching roles.
- Prior university-level teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach and assess learners effectively.
- Strong knowledge of core CS topics (algorithms, data structures, systems, software engineering).
- Excellent communication skills, classroom management, and use of learning technologies (LMS, online tools).
- Commitment to inclusive, accessible, and student-centered education.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and scholarly activities.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and willingness to engage in service activities.
