Responsibility
- Deliver high quality undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, including lectures, labs, and seminars.
- Design and update course syllabi, assessments, and learning materials aligned with accreditation standards.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and capstone experiences; provide mentorship and timely feedback.
- Conduct and publish scholarly research; actively contribute to department and university service.
- Develop and implement inclusive teaching practices that support diverse learner populations.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, program assessment, and grant-funded initiatives.
- Participate in student advising, recruitment, and outreach activities.
- Engage in online and hybrid instruction; incorporate active learning and innovative technologies.
Qualification
- PhD or terminal degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; or Masterβs degree with significant teaching experience and appropriate credentials.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the higher education level; ability to teach core CS courses and electives.
- Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom and curriculum.
- Experience designing and assessing learning outcomes; familiarity with assessment and accreditation processes.
- Scholarly activity or a clear plan for ongoing research; publication record is a plus.
- Experience advising students and supervising research projects; ability to mentor capstone and thesis work.
- Proficiency with online learning platforms (LMS) and modern instructional technologies; experience with hybrid instruction.
